Ostrov Russky. Restaurants Moscow

The new place Ostrov Russky was opened in a historic building which used to be the manor of count Arshenevsky. The atmosphere of the pre-revolutionary Russia fills the rooms of the restaurant: cambered ceilings, old brick walls, flagstone flooring, an antique mirror in unusual frame and an XVIII century-style glased tile stove. The local cuisine is based on fresh fish and seafood from the Pacific Ocean. The menu features Far Eastern delicacies – wild taiga fern stewed with beef and vegetables, tartares of tuna, scallops and sockeye salmon, soup with three kinds of fish, Far Eastern halibut filet with ratatouille and lemon oil and scallop cutlets. There are also several excellent meat options, like beef undercut in morel sauce with stewed potatoes or grilled lamb tongues with creamy horse radish and tomatoes.
