New restaurants
French bakery and cake shop Paul was opened on Tverskaya street. The first café of the chain appeared in Lille in 1889. Now there are 436 cafés in 24 countries all over the world, including USA and Japan. The chain is still a family business with secret recipes that were passed from generation to generation. Flour, ferment and other ingredients are delivered from France, but the dough is kneaded here in the bakery. All bakers and pastry chefs underwent training in France.
Paul offers 140 types of bread, traditional French croissants, sandwiches, tartes and different cakes, including macarons and éclairs. Besides, in the café one can have French onion soup, classic Caesar salad, or beef stroganoff with mashed potatoes. Some recipes are taken from Paul’s French menu, others are adjusted according to Russian preferences.
