New restaurants
Saperavi café offers modern Georgian cuisine. They do not use ketsy - traditional Georgian iron pan, instead of that they cook light and mild dishes, using local food – for example, meat and eggs from farms not far from Moscow. On the menu one can find gebdzhaliya with fresh mint (270 rubles), chvishtari - corn scones with smoked cheese (130 rubles), kharcho soup (350 rubles), matsoni (fermented milk product) with honey (130 rubles). From time to time Saperavi produces unusual season menus – for example, a menu called “Georgia versus France” with pairs of similar national dishes from both countries, like French ratatouille and Georgian ajapsandali. The wine list contains popular brands from France, Italy, Spain and the New World, besides it is allowed to come with one’s own wine – they charge 500 rubles a bottle.
