New restaurants
La Casa del Gaucho is a new project of Mikhail Gokhner (El Gaucho, Bocconcino, Na Melnitse). The idea of a macho-style Argentinean steak-house (El Gaucho) evolved into a cheerful place without heavy dark furniture or things reminding about cowboys and prairies. Instead of all that La Casa del Gaucho has light spacious halls with carved lamps, vintage Fendi sofas and elegant teak furniture. Apart from the main hall, there is a banquet hall and a little room with Italian wood-burning stove for pizza and focaccia. Steaks are made from American and Australian Prime beef, mutton is brought from New-Zealand. All meat dishes are cooked on Argentinean grill Parilla and served on braseiro with live coals. The wine list is focused on the New World kinds – full-bodied wines making excellent pair with meat.
