New restaurants
The new café Pobeda is actually a varenichnaya, i.e. a plays where they cook vareniki – Ukranian dumplings with various stuffing that used to be a very popular dish in the Soviet Union. The first Pobeda decked out like a Soviet café opened on Novy Arbat, and now there is one more – near Aviamotornaya metro station. The best thing about the second café is that the place is divided into several small and cosy rooms and a charming cabinet under the stairs. Besides, Pobeda –Aviamotornaya is located right in the middle of a park. The head chef is Alyona Solodovichenko who used to work in Varenichnaya on Kreschatik – a popular place in Kiev.
