The new Asian restaurant Zodiac has appeared in the Business Center Smolensky Passazh. The man behind the place is Boris Zarkov, whose successful project White Rabbit is situated in the same building. Zodiac's Asian-style design was created by a renowned architect Valery Lizunov. The most special detail is one of the walls decorated with live plants. The head of the kitchen is one of the most promising Moscow chefs Vladimir Mukhin. As an appetizer he offers his guests Edamame green beans with sault (290 rubles), nem rolls with marinated shrimp and mango (520 rubles), papaya with shrimp, lotus root and chili sauce (720 rubles) and all kinds of sushi. The menu is devided into several sections: noodles and rise cooked on wok, dim-sums, tempura - and the usual meat-and-fish. The most advisable options for the first visit are egg noodles with lamb, ginger and oyster sauce (350 rubles), assorted dim-sums Raduga ("rainbow") with vegetables, crab meat, shrimp, chicken-and-shrimp and beef (430 rubles) and black cod served with white asparagus, daikon puree and miso sauce (1400 rubles).
